WHAT IS JP JUBILEE?
JP Jubilee is a singing class for people over 50.
It was founded in 2013, the group aims to:
–Teach singing to people of all skill levels, without auditions
–Build community among seniors
-Promote seniors’ health, engagement, and learning
–Perform for family, friends and senior-serving community organizations
They have grown from 22 singers in the spring of 2013 to more than 75 members over the last five years. Along the way, we have offered two concerts a year that are free and open to the public. They perform at many community events. Our PACE participants have been fortunate enough to sing and perform with them. Some of our PACE singers participated in their spring concert held this past May.
Directed by Elizabeth (Liz) Anker, a professional singer and voice teacher, who developed an interest in the benefits of creative aging, and envisioned a class which would include her JP neighbors in joyful learning and skill-building. Click here for more information about JP Jubilee.
